Here it is the last post, the details post.
OFFICIAL HALLOWEEN SHOW RULES RIGHT HERE!
Sol Collective has some rules that let them exist. Please follow them
because they are cool and we like them.
No hanging in the neighborhood
Can hang out on 21st, but no drinking on the street.
Only park on 21st or Broadway. Seriously stay out of the neighborhood!
General rules:
Bring your own. Be cool with it.
Clean up after yourselves, dudes.
It's $5 for all. The rental fee is $500, so I am teeny bit worried
that we won't make it, so feel free to throw in an extra dollar if you
can. All extra money will go to a charity of my choice (in this case
Sol Collective.)
Scholarships may be available for a few who show extraordinary need.
One member from each band should be there at 6:30 so we set up the
line-up. The rest of you should be there by 6:50 because the show will
start shortly after. Get there early because someone great is bound to
open because we have a quality line-up. Also, someone has to play
first. It may be you.
3 songs or 15 minutes.
Set up and breakdown quickly
There will be a backline (drums, amps, whatever else. Talk to Charles
about this)
Do we have a keyboard? If you have one and are willing to part with it for the evening please let charles know.
We have 13 bands I think, so I think it's going to be good sized show.
Weird Stuff:
We need a list of names for the private party status. There will a
facebook invitation, please RSVP. We are going to close the list at
100. You don't need to RSVP to go to the event, but we need a long
list of names so please respond with "yes" or "maybe' if you can. Once
again, your name doesn't have to be on the list to get into or play
the show. It's a thing, just do it. It won't hurt.
We still need a host, want the job?
Host should be movie related, like Billy Chrystal or Erin Brockovitch or something.
ReplyDeleteIf nobody claims this for the whole show I can do part of it. I could be Jim Carey, Willem Defoe, or Woody from Toy Story.
Delete-Jed
please , someone do E. brock.
Delete(thats what i called it in my mind when shelving it at blockbuster)
Is it bad form to host the show as robot voiced Ebert?
DeleteDylan has a nice keyboard, and I have an ok keyboard that will both be at the show.
ReplyDeleteWhat about PA and mics and stuff? Charles? I've heard I should talk to you.
I heard a rumor that Cheech and Chong were hosting.
Alec
Wait! There is no PA? I don't have a PA. I have amps and drums, ect. Do we really need a PA?
DeleteThere is a PA. It's cool.
DeleteI have two rad dudes from Film Club filming the entire night on super quality camera's. There is a sound issue with the camera's, but we already know how to solve that. I just need to ask whoever is doing sound some questions. Is it someone from Sol or one of our own? Also, everyone is down to be filmed, right?
ReplyDeleteim still down to do my famous "chong", for part / all of the mc duties. but i hope al will do his "cheech"
ReplyDeleteCheech and Chong would be great, I would still like Jed's Jim Carey to stop by to help out.
ReplyDeleteoh , man. meeeeeereeeeee tooooooooooooo! (like jim carey would say it)
Deletei would also like to see defoe. big time.
DeleteWell, alrighty then!
ReplyDeleteJim
So while searching for who is doing sound it has come to my attention that the dude who does sound at Sol wants to know if we are doing our own sound of if we need him too. We would be using the soundboard at the Sol.
ReplyDeleteWe are our soundman.
ReplyDeleteare there mics and mic stands?
ReplyDeleteYes. They may be yours.
ReplyDeletei can help out with sound operation in any way im needed.
ReplyDeleteany news on getting a bunch of bill cosbys to introduce an act or two?
ReplyDeleteeastwood?
ReplyDeletesomeone should do a little joe pesci, right?
the three captains will be on hand as well, in theory.
I realized I was too stressed out about details like "what specific equipment will be there?" and "do we need anything else?" I would still love to know what we're working with if anyone has that information, BUT... I'm totally happy knowing that we have amps (what kind? who cares!), drums, and a PA. And I know, I know... we also have etc and whatever else.
ReplyDeleteMy mind is completely at ease.
It's going to be great!
I get the stress. Direct it to Charles, he is our stage manager.
ReplyDelete-Natalie.
Its probably best to text or call Charles.
ReplyDeleteAlso, don't freak out, we are pretty good at this.
ReplyDeleteI can't stop freaking out.
ReplyDeleteOh no! now I am freaking out.
ReplyDelete-Natalie.
I was serious about not freaking out. It's tradition to go get everything we need and don't have right before the show. It's almost part of the show.
ReplyDeleteI've contacted Charles directly. He assured me we have amps, drums, and etc.
ReplyDeleteAnyone freaking out should get in touch with Cheech or Chong. they'll help ya out.
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't have read this. Freaking out!
ReplyDeleteOpen up! I've got the stuff!
ReplyDeletei was afraid someone might freak the "f" out.
ReplyDeleteI hear Eastwood will be present and accounted for.
